A Christian Presence in the Nightlife of Sutton Coldfield

Sutton Pastors is a late night initiative involving volunteers from the town churches working in partnership with the West Midlands Police Force and the nightlife businesses to ensure that Sutton Coldfield town centre is a safe and vibrant environment for everyone who visits.

Sutton Pastors aims to provide an essential pastoral bridge between the police, business owners, door staff and the general public.

Sutton Pastors serves clubbers, diners, homeless people and anyone else we encounter on the street – in whatever ways are appropriate. For example, we serve free hot drinks and sweets, offer flip-flops to those who cannot cope with their heels, look out for the vulnerable and clear glass bottles that could be used as weapons.

If you can spare about one Saturday monthly, 9.30pm to 2.00am on Sunday, have been a member of your church for over a year and are interested in joining our team, please send an email to suttonpastors@gmail.com.  We will send you more information, invite you to come out with us on a taster evening and then link you to our online application form.
