The Bible tells us…

prayer eventDo not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

(Phillipians 4:6-7)

Prayer is the name we use to refer to our conversations with God. Anyone can speak with God. We do not need someone to say prayers for us, neither do we need someone to interpret for God what is on our heart. God has given us this direct channel of communication with him, and encourages us all to use it regularly, as if speaking with a trusted friend.

Prayer Requests in Confidence

Sometimes however we feel as if we could do with some help in praying about a particular matter, or want some support through others praying on our behalf. If that is how you are feeling at present, then please email prayer@scbc.org.uk to let us know who you are (first name only will be fine) and how we can pray for you, and our prayer group will include you in their weekly prayers.

If you would welcome a chat with one of our pastoral staff, then please don’t hesitate to let us know, indicating how you would like us to contact you.

And remember, the Bible also says…

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

(1 John 5:14)
