Reflections on following Jesus.
(Questions below videos)
In Matthew 4:19 Jesus calls his first disciples, telling them to follow him in rescuing people – “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
On Sunday we highlighted seven behaviours of Jesus that as a disciple of Jesus we are signing up to copy.
- Seeking the lost
- Forgiving the enemy
- Being good news to the poor
- Strengthening weak
- Healing the broken
- Releasing the trapped
- Teaching Disciples
From this list what is the one that inspires you the most and makes you feel, “that’s what I want to be doing!” Why not ask God to help you grow more in that area?
Also, looking at the list, what is the behaviour that you find hardest to copy? Ask for help from God and/or those around you.
What is the one you want to develop the most? How can you do that? Why not make it a prayer for a few days, that God give you opportunities to develop as a disciple?
